The Client
Multi Fasteners Bldg. Mat. Trdg. L.L.C. is a pipe fittings and building materials trader in Deira, Dubai. It stocks high pressure forged fittings, camlock couplings, stainless steel 304 and 316 fittings, flanges, valves, industrial hoses and fasteners.
Its buyers are ship chandlers and shipyards, oilfield and offshore contractors, building and MEP contractors, and traders who resell the range. The company also exports to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Africa.
This website development project for a pipe fittings supplier in Dubai had one job: let trade buyers find an exact part quickly and ask for a price with as little effort as possible.
The Challenge
- A wide, technical range. 18 product ranges and 233 items, many sold by pressure class or material grade. Buyers search for specific parts such as "316 elbow" or "Type C camlock", not general categories.
- Enquiries happen on WhatsApp. Trade buyers send item lists with sizes and quantities by message. A standard contact form would add a step they do not use.
- The range lived in a printed catalogue. Product details and photos existed only in the catalogue PDF, with nothing searchable online.
- Shared hosting. The cPanel account chosen for the site already ran a separate live website that had to stay untouched.
Our Approach to Website Development for a Pipe Fittings Supplier
We structured the site around how trade buyers order: by product range, then by exact part, then a fast enquiry. The catalogue has three levels, a products hub, 18 range pages and 233 product pages, all linked by breadcrumbs, with search in the header of every page so a buyer who knows the part name can skip browsing entirely.
WhatsApp became the main enquiry route, with email as the second option and the full catalogue PDF one click away for procurement teams who work offline. We chose a custom static build, generated from one product data file, so the site loads fast with no plugins or database to maintain.
What We Built
A product catalogue with live filtering
The products hub lists every item by range. Typing in the filter narrows the list as you type, and the category sidebar updates to show only the ranges with matches.
Range pages with brand and specification detail
Each of the 18 range pages opens with the specifications buyers check first, such as pressure classes for forged fittings, so a buyer can confirm the right range before scrolling to individual products.
A dedicated page for every product
All 233 products have their own page with a photo, material tags, a description and links to related items. Each page can appear in Google on its own for searches like "brass ball valve Dubai".
A quotation form that sends to WhatsApp
The contact page has a quotation form for multi-item orders. It writes the buyer's details, product range and item list into a ready message, then opens WhatsApp or the buyer's email app. Nothing is sent until the buyer confirms.
Technical guides for buyer questions
We wrote three guides on the questions buyers ask at the counter: coupling types, pressure classes, and stainless steel grades for marine use. Each one links back to the matching products.
What Made This Project Different
Enquiry built around WhatsApp, not a form inbox
Every product button pre-fills the item name, and the quotation form composes the full message for the buyer. Enquiries arrive where the sales team already works, and with no form storage on the server there is no spam to filter.
One data file, 233 search-ready pages
Many supplier sites show products as a gallery or a PDF download. We generated a full page for each product from a single data file, each with its own title, description and Product schema, so every part can rank for its own name.
Content written for specifiers
The guides answer the technical questions engineers and buyers search for before they order. That builds trust with procurement teams and gives Google more reasons to show the site.
Problems We Solved Along the Way
Product photos only existed in the printed catalogue
A catalogue site without product photos gives buyers nothing to check against. We cropped individual product photos from the catalogue pages, so every range and product shows the real item without waiting for a photo shoot.
A separate live website on the same hosting account
The cPanel account already hosted another live website, and one wrong upload could have overwritten it. We added the new domain as its own site with its own folder and scoped the deployment login to that folder only. The existing site was never touched.
Moving from the preview host to cPanel
The site was previewed on a demo host whose clean URLs would not carry over to Apache. We rebuilt them as server rules, added 301 redirects from the old file-style addresses, and set one canonical address so no link equity is split between versions.
SEO tags that only appeared after JavaScript ran
On the main pages, the titles, descriptions and schema were added by JavaScript, and the homepage reached its content through a script redirect, both things crawlers and link previews can miss. We moved every tag into the page's HTML and served the homepage directly at the root address.
An SSL check that ran ahead of DNS
The first certificate check ran while the domain still pointed at the registrar's parking page. Once DNS moved, we excluded the validation path from the site's redirects and issued a certificate covering both the root and www domains. It now renews automatically.
Built for Mobile
Every page adapts to phone screens. The category sidebar moves above the products, the menu wraps to two lines, and the WhatsApp button stays within thumb reach on every page.
SEO Built In From Day One
The site launched with its technical SEO complete, so Google could crawl all 260 pages correctly from the first visit.
- A unique title, meta description and canonical URL on every page
- Structured data: LocalBusiness and FAQPage on the homepage, Product and BreadcrumbList on product pages, CollectionPage on range pages
- An XML sitemap of 260 URLs, robots.txt, and the sitemap submitted to Google Search Console
- 301 redirects from old URLs and a single canonical address
- Open Graph tags for clean previews when links are shared on WhatsApp and LinkedIn
- Compression, browser caching, a favicon and a noindex 404 page
- Google Analytics 4 on every page
Results
The site went live on 29 October 2026. Google Lighthouse tests on launch day recorded an SEO score of 100/100 on the homepage and a product page, on both desktop and mobile, with desktop performance of 88 on the homepage and 94 on a product page, and best practices scores between 96 and 100.
Enquiry, ranking and Search Console data are still early, since the site only recently went live.
