Website Design for a Multi-Branch Building Materials Retailer in the UAE
An e-commerce-style catalog site with two parallel browse paths, by category and by brand, for a large multi-showroom retailer.
Building materials and power tools retailrealitybm.com
This is an e-commerce-style catalog website with two parallel browse paths on the homepage, "Browse By Categories" and "Browse By Brand," built because a catalog this large needed more than one way in depending on whether a visitor already knows the brand they want or is starting from a product need. No docx case study exists for this client, so the build is described from what the mockups show.
The homepage opens with a "Power Tools, Shop Now" hero banner featuring drills, saws, and grinders, then a stats bar (brand count, product count, warehousing footprint, years of experience, number of branches) as a quick credibility strip before the catalog itself. An "About Us" section is paired with an in-store showroom photo rather than stock photography, grounding the site in the physical retail locations behind it.
The "Our Categories" grid is the structural core of the site: more than twenty tiles, power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, welding, concrete repair and renders, wood and timber, general hardware, construction material, plumbing and sanitary, paints and accessories, safety workwear and PPE, fasteners, electrical, waterproofing, oilfield items, packaging materials, compressors and air hose fittings, garage tools, lifting equipment, abrasives, and tiling and flooring, organized by what a buyer is shopping for rather than by supplier. A separate brand carousel (Bosch, DeWalt, Makita, Schneider Electric, Ariston, Klingspor, among others) gives the alternate "Browse By Brand" path its own visual section, and a Google rating badge surfaces the review score directly on the homepage rather than requiring a click-through. The site also includes an "Industries That RBM Serves" section mapping the catalog to construction, maintenance and repair, manufacturing and fabrication, engineering and architecture, infrastructure development, interior design and renovation, and real estate development use cases, a "Request a Quote" flow for bulk or trade inquiries, an Instagram feed of promotional graphics, and a footer listing all three showroom addresses so each branch is locatable independently.
