SEO Case Study: Shopify-to-Rebuild Migration and Search Growth for a Hardware Retailer

This client's previous website was built on Shopify. We rebuilt it on a new platform, added the full product catalogue with complete descriptions for every item rather than the thin listings a Shopify template encourages, and ran the full range of SEO services: on-page, technical, and off-page.

The Search Console history for the new site covers about six months, the period since the rebuild went live. The first two months show a narrow, modest band of clicks and impressions, the normal profile while a rebuilt catalogue is being crawled and indexed page by page. Starting in late April, that band widened noticeably, both metrics climbed and the site began sustaining higher daily volumes than anything seen earlier, lining up with the point where full-catalogue on-page and technical work typically starts converting into ranking movement.

That elevated pattern has held since, with impressions and clicks tracking together, evidence the gains reflect broader visibility across a wider set of hardware-related search terms rather than one page or query carrying the account. Total clicks over the tracked period reached 2.78K against 177K impressions, with an average position of 14.8 and a 1.6% average CTR, just outside page one on average within a few months of a full rebuild and catalogue relaunch, for a retailer where customers search by specific product and brand names across a full range of items.
