How Much Does Logo Design Cost in the UAE?

Key Takeaways
  • Logo design in the UAE has no single market price because the word logo covers everything from a quick mark to a full identity system. Scope drives cost.
  • The main pricing factors are discovery and research depth, the number of concepts and revision rounds, the variation set, brand guidelines, and usage rights.
  • Freelancers, agencies, and design subscriptions each trade off differently on price, consistency, and continuity. The right choice depends on what comes after the logo.
  • A too-cheap logo shows predictable red flags: template or stock-based marks, no source files, no variations, and no questions asked about your business.
  • Demand vector source files, a full variation set, exact color codes, at least a one-page guideline, and written confirmation that you own the final logo.

Why Nobody Gives You a Straight Number

Ask ten designers in Dubai what a logo costs and you will get ten different answers, sometimes an order of magnitude apart. That is not evasion. The word logo genuinely covers everything from a font paired with a stock icon in an afternoon to a researched identity system with months of thinking behind it. Those are different products that happen to share a name.

So the honest answer to the headline question is: it depends on scope, and anyone who quotes you a firm price before understanding your business is either guessing or selling you a template. What this article can do is show you exactly what moves the price, so when quotes arrive you know what each one actually includes.

What Actually Drives Logo Pricing

  • Discovery and research. Did the designer study your competitors, your customers, and your positioning, or did work start straight in the drawing tool? Research time is the biggest hidden difference between quotes.
  • Concepts and revisions. Three developed directions with structured feedback rounds cost more than one concept with unlimited vague tweaks, and produce better results.
  • The variation set. A logo that only exists as one arrangement on a white background is unfinished. Horizontal and stacked versions, an icon-only mark, one-color and reversed versions for dark backgrounds all take deliberate work.
  • Brand guidelines. Nothing, a one-page cheat sheet, or a full document covering spacing, misuse, color codes, and typography. Each level adds cost and each level saves you money later.
  • Usage rights and source files. Full ownership with editable vector files should be standard. Some cheap providers keep the source files precisely so you have to come back and pay again.
  • Who is doing the work. An experienced designer who has shipped identities across your industry prices their judgment, not just their hours.

Freelancer vs Agency vs Subscription

In the UAE you will meet three models, and each has a legitimate use case.

  • Freelancers are usually the most affordable route and the most variable. A great freelancer can outperform an agency; a poor one leaves you with a mark you quietly dislike. The structural risk is continuity: one person holds your files, your fonts, and your history, and people move on.
  • Agencies bring process: a brief, research, multiple designers reviewing the work, and accountability if someone is unavailable. You pay for that structure, which makes sense when the logo is part of a larger identity or a launch that cannot slip.
  • Design subscriptions fit businesses whose needs do not end at the logo. If the logo is the first of many assets, profile, templates, social media, packaging, a flat monthly model covers all of it with one consistent team, which is exactly the point where per-project pricing starts to hurt.
  1. No questions asked. If the provider can start without knowing what your business does and who buys from you, the output was never going to be about your business.
  2. Template and stock marks. Icon marketplaces and AI generators produce marks that other companies are already using. Beyond the embarrassment, this creates real trademark risk if you ever try to register it.
  3. One file, one version. A single JPEG on a white background cannot go on a signboard, a dark website header, or an embroidered uniform. You will pay someone else to rebuild it.
  4. Source files withheld. Editable vector files are the logo. A provider who keeps them is keeping leverage over every future change you need.
  5. No ownership in writing. If nothing states that you own the final mark, you may not.
Note

The cheapest logo is frequently paid for twice: once now, and again when it has to be replaced along with everything it was printed on. Signboards, vehicle branding, packaging, and uniforms all inherit the cost of a rushed first decision.

The Deliverables You Should Demand

Whatever route you choose, the handover should include:

  • Editable vector source files (AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF), plus PNGs for everyday use.
  • The full variation set: primary, compact, icon-only, one-color, and reversed versions.
  • Exact color codes for print and screen (CMYK, RGB, and hex), with the typefaces named.
  • At least a one-page brand guideline showing correct usage, spacing, and what not to do.
  • Written confirmation that ownership of the final logo transfers to you.

If a quote is missing any of these, it is not a lower price for the same thing. It is a different, smaller thing.

How Scaling High Technologies Prices Logo Work

We handle logos two ways. As a one-off project, we scope it on a discovery call, understand what the logo needs to do and where it will live, and price it accordingly, so you are paying for what your business needs rather than a package label. For businesses with ongoing design needs, the logo can also be the first deliverable inside our unlimited design subscription, which starts from AED 2,000 per month and covers the profile, templates, and everything else the new identity has to flow into.

Want a Straight Answer on Your Logo?

Tell us what you are building and we will scope it honestly on a discovery call. Logo projects are available one-off, or inside the unlimited design subscription from AED 2,000 per month for businesses whose design needs do not stop at the logo.

Either way, the deliverables list above is the standard. A logo is a long-term asset, and the goal of pricing it properly is simple: you should never have to buy it twice.
